Being the best tablet does not make the iPad 2 flawless. Here are some of the good and bad points about the Apple iPad 2.

Pros:

  • Design - Looks awesome and feels great in your hands. The aluminum back cover gives the device the strong and sturdy feel.
  • Weight - iPad 2 is more lighter than it's older brother, iPad. With only 1.33 lbs, this makes iPad 2 more portable and more comfortable to use.
  • Operating System - iPad 2 uses the Apple iOS system just like it's older brother. I noticed that it is faster, user-friendly, reliable and has a nice interface. There are also more than 140,00 apps and games available for iPad 2 at the Apple Store.
  • Processor - Apple iPad 2 uses the new Apple A5 processors. As a dual-core,it makes gaming faster and lag-free. Loading apps and webpage is also quicker than iPad 1.
  • Battery Life - Rated at 10 hours of continuous usage on normal conditions, this tablet can outmatched most of the other tablets out there. Thank to it's power efficient A5 chip that works well with iOS software.
  • Camera - Built with 2 cameras, one at the front, the other at the back. These cameras are designed for FaceTime videocalling. The front cam puts you and your friend face to face and the main cam to show him what's going on around you.

Cons:

  • Camera -  If you are looking for camera for taking quality pictures, you can't find it on iPad 2. The two cameras, intended for videocalls using Facetime are poor. You can use it to capture photos, but do not expect a stunning output.
  • No Memory or USB Slot -  You can't attach external storage to it unlike the other tablets in the market. If you want to have a bigger memory, there is no way but to buy the version with a bigger capacity.
  • No Flash Support - If you like to play Flash-based games, the iPad 2 is not for you. But do not worry, many websites now are moving on using HTML 5 instead of Flash.
There are no tablet computer today that can match the iPad 2's iconic status. Yet, it will take a long way to becoming "perfect" . To be happy with it, users must learn it's strengths and imperfections to maximize it's great features.
